About us
Sawtell is a peaceful seaside township approximately 545kms north of Sydney and 380kms south of Brisbane. It is serviced by an International airport and Marina at the nearby city of Coffs Harbour some 7kms away. Beautiful Sawtell Beach with a scenic mountain backdrop to the west is the dominant geographical feature and highlight of the area. Surfing, fishing, diving, bushwalking and a host of sporting activities entertain visitors to the area all year round.
Sawtell Golf Club, known as the "Friendly Club" was first established in 1946 and has developed over subsequent years into the modern clubhouse and course of today. The club can be located off Bayldon Road at the southern end of the main street (First Avenue). The club boasts a superbly maintained 18 holes golf course which caters to the needs of all players from social players through to the golfing purists. The modern air conditioned clubhouse is the perfect place for a relaxing drink, fine food and friendly flutter after golf.

On behalf of the Ladies Committee and Members alike, I would like to welcome all visitors to our “Friendly Golf Club”. The weekly ladies ‘comps’ are held on a Wednesday and we extend a very warm welcome to all ladies visiting the area to come and join us.
